It's a little like the Wild West when it comes to plugins, you'll have to use a lot of trial and error to figure out which ones work best for you AND that work well in your system. The power of 39 high end reference instruments entirely tweakableĪ hand-picked, expertly engineered suite of instruments combining timeless sonic craft with cutting-edge enhancements. That said, some manufacturers are better than others, and some plugins don't play well, with others. Thanks!Īny 64bit/vst3 plugin should work in Acid Pro 10. Not sure if you know but just thought I'd ask. But the EQ plug ins were not working, so the Magix people told me to uninstall/reinstall the program, which I did, and now the EQ plugins work but all the Analogue Modelling Suite ones are gone, and they were really good! I tried to uninstall/reinstall again but same thing, EQ ones work but no AM. On a different subject, do you happen to know if the Analogue Modelling Suite package "AM|MUNITION, AM|PULSE, AM|TRACK and AM|PHIBIA" is supposed to come with Acid Pro 10? I had them when I first downloaded the program. The abrasive, hypnotic sound that gets synapses firing. Pump your mixes full of reactive ever-evolving bass grooves, unleash mutated sequences fizzing with distortion, and experiment with extra features for revitalized rave energy. You may have already noticed the addition. Acid V channels the cult-classic bass synth that pushed the underground into overdrive. With all of the important original features dutifully included, new sequencing, modulation and audio capabilities have also been added. Acid V is a software emulation of the ever popular Roland TB303. So I am actually leaning toward the Arturia Keystep 37 again, as it has a few more keys than a 32, which will allow me to play some if I want to, but also cool features. Arturia have another classic on their long list of software synths: a special little squelchy box. I am not trained or anything, but I can play the keyboard basically well, but I really want to do sound manipulation as well. In the menu bar at the top, Select Utilities > - Startup Security Utility. Or you can get it free when you buy the entire V Collection for 599, though, youre probably better off waiting for that to go on. If asked, select a user > Click Next > Enter password for admin account. Arturia Acid V is available now at an introductory price of 99. Then there is also the standard Launchkey with more functionality and options for more keys. Press and hold the power button until you see - Loading startup options. It's clearly built with Abelton in mind but will be fine in other DAWs. The Novation Launchkey Mini MK3 has an arp and something called chord mode and has more knobs. I can't give a definitive answer of what to get. I think the Keystep 37 has four knobs which can be used to control things (there are none on my Keystep). There is however an argument that if you're starting out something simpler might be more appropriate. The Nektar has plenty of knobs and sliders. Many will provide integration for major DAWs although I don't think Acid gets support in this way. Standard midi controllers also provide transport controllers (stop/play/record), can have faders which work with the mixer section as well as software synths and knobs which control parameters in the synths. The sequencing and arpeggiation can be good fun. The Keystep is fine for playing notes and chords. Would the Nektar Impact 49 or Alesis V 49 be the better option? The sequencing and arpeggiation of the Keystep do look very cool as well, but I also want it for playing notes and chords in a more conventional manner directly into acid pro.
